Why choose the Phin Coffee Starter Kit?
This kit is the easiest way to start brewing Vietnamese coffee at home. Instead of buying coffee and a phin filter separately, you get both in one simple bundle. It is ideal if you want to try authentic phin coffee, make a stronger coffee, or build your own Vietnamese coffee ritual without needing an espresso machine.
What is included in the Starter Kit?
The Starter Kit includes your selected Vietnamese coffee and a traditional phin filter. Depending on your selected variant, you can choose the coffee, size, grind option, and phin colour available on the product page.
Do I need a coffee machine?
No. The phin filter is the brewer. You only need hot water, a cup, and ice if you want to make Vietnamese iced coffee. It is a simple slow-drip method designed for one strong cup at a time.
Is this kit good for beginners?
Yes. This is the best option if you are new to Vietnamese coffee and want the basic tools to start. For the easiest experience, choose Phin Ground so the coffee is ready to brew with the included phin filter.
Which coffee should I choose?
Choose The 36 Blend if you want a bold but smooth everyday Vietnamese coffee that works beautifully with condensed milk and ice. Choose Red Soil Robusta if you want a stronger, more intense cup with higher caffeine and a richer Robusta body.
Can I make cà phê sữa đá with this kit?
Yes. This kit gives you the coffee and phin filter needed for cà phê sữa đá. You will just need to add your own sweetened condensed milk and ice. If you want everything included, the Complete Kit is the fuller option.
How many cups can I make?
If you use around 20g of coffee per cup, a 250g bag makes about 12 cups. A 500g bag makes about 25 cups.
Should I choose whole bean or phin ground?
Choose Phin Ground if you do not have a grinder or want the easiest start. Choose Whole Bean if you grind at home and want more control over freshness and grind size.
